Mr Yoshiyuki Oba
Managing Director
Mr Oba specializes in the architecture of SME finance in emerging Asian economies. He started his career at the Japan Finance Corporation for SMEs (JASME), and then worked at the Embassy of Japan in Vietnam, Sanwa Research Institute Ltd. (now Mitsubishi UFJ Research & Consulting Ltd.), and Tokyo Small Business Investment & Consultation Co., Ltd. (SBIC East Japan). In April 2011, he joined the CROSSBORDER group and became Managing Director of Crossborder Japan Co., Ltd. As well as providing financial advisory & management support for Japanese SMEs and venture businesses, he also advises venture capital funds and financial institutions in emerging Asian economies. He is a visiting research fellow at both Waseda University's Vietnam Research Institute and the Japan Economic Research Institute.
Mr Satoru Yano

Mr Yano graduated from Keio University (Japan) in 1986, with an LL.B. He worked with The Overseas Economic Cooperation Fund as a project finance officer in charge of SE Asia, with Baring Brothers & Co. as a cross-border M&A team executive in the corporate finance department, with Link Pacific Co., Ltd. in Tokyo as managing director, and with Nhat Viet Co., Ltd. in Vietnam as an executive advisor. Mr Yano started to run his own cross-border advisory business in 1991, and worked with private sector companies, government agencies, and international organizations in many Asian countries. He is a Japanese citizen, and a permanent resident of Singapore.
Mr Masayuki Yoshida
Director (Managing Director, Akinai Research Institute Ltd.)
Mr Yoshida graduated from Doshisha University (Faculty of Commerce), and completed the first part of a doctoral course at Doshisha University Graduate School of Policy and Management (Japan). He is the managing Director of Akinai Research Institute Ltd. Mr Yoshida started his business as a management consultant in 1996, and has devised and supported specialised development strategies for venture enterprises from creation to IPO, while remaining active on the lecture circuit, contributing articles to magazines, and presenting research papers. After serving as the President of Osaka Business Creation Center “Akinai Aid” he was the Executive Producer of “Wake up Nippon DREAM GATE Project”. He teaches as a professor at Kwansei Gakuin University Institute of Business and Accounting, and as a visiting professor at the Graduate School of Digital Content. He received the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry's Award for Entrepreneur Support in March 2003. He is a qualified SME Management Consultant and IT Coordinator.
