Mr Sam (Satoru) Yano
Managing Director / Group Chairman

1986, LL.B. from Keio University (Japan). Yano worked with The Overseas Economic Cooperation Fund as a project finance officer in charge of SE Asia, Baring Brothers & Co. as a cross-border M&A team executive in the corporate finance dept., Link Pacific Co., Ltd. in Tokyo as managing director, and Nhat Viet Co., Ltd. in Vietnam as executive advisor. Yano started to run his own cross-border advisory business in 1991, and served to private sector, government agencies, and international organizations in many Asian countries. A Japanese citizen, permanent resident in Singapore

Mr Lui Chin Yen
Senior Advisor (Financial Analysis)

Chartered Accountant of Australia. Proprietor of Lui Chin Yen & Co in Singapore. Lui was a partner of Peat Marwick Mitchell & Co (now known as KPMG) in Singapore before setting up his own practice in 1984. He has over 30 years of extensive experience in public accounting as well business and financial consulting in Singapore and other Asian countries. A Malaysian citizen, permanent resident in Singapore.

Mr Takahiro Amano: CPA, CPTA
Corporate Financial Advisor (Asia)

Amano joined Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited Japan in 2000 and worked extensively on financial audit, and then in 2005 he moved to Deloitte Tohmatsu FAS totake charge of due diligence, valuation, and financial advisory in a wide variety of industries. In 2009 Amano was seconded to Deloitte & Touche Corporate Finance in Singapore to originate and execute M&A transactions in Southeast Asia for Japanese companies. He returned to Japan in early 2011 to set up his own financial advisory service firm in Tokyo and concurrently joined Crossborder as advisor.

Ms Ngo Anh Thu
Director (Vietnam)

B.S. in Biology from Hanoi National University. Anh Thu founded and ran Vietnam Development Cooperation, an extremely successful research and consulting firm in Vietnam, before joining Crossborder as director in charge of Vietnam and other Indochinese nations. Director of Link Vietnam Pte Ltd. A Vietnamese citizen, permanent resident in Singapore.

Mr Luong Binh Minh
Manager

B.S. in Economics from National University of Vietnam, Master of Law from Nagoya University in Japan. Minh is responsible for research on Vietnam and other Southeast Asian countries. A Vietnamese citizen, resident in Singapore.

Ms Masami Abe
Research & Operation Assistant

Studied in Australia for 7 years since high school. After graduating from Sunshine Coast University in Queensland, she returned to Japan and worked with Toyo University and UD Trucks as assistant to the top executive management. She moved to Singapore and worked with Apple South Asia Pte Ltd before joining Crossborder.Masami is fluent in English and Indonesian besides Japanese.A Japanese citizen, resident in Singapore.

Ms Esther Lee
Chief Administrator

Esther worked with a number of companies in Singapore including accounting firms and retailers as admin & accounting executive. Her responsibility in Crossborder includes assistance in research, communication, documentation and administration. A Malaysian citizen, permanent resident in Singapore.

Mr Ryota Yamamura
Liaison Manager in Australia

After working on the manufacturing business run by his family in Osaka, Japan, Ryota moved to Australia to acquire Bachelor of International Business from Griffith University in Brisbane. He worked with Panasonic in Singapore as a sales marketing executive before joining Crossborder Pte Ltd. Ryota was engaged in numerous Asian research works, investment projects, and consulting assignments at Crossborder’s head office for three years, and moved to Australia to settle down as a permanent resident.
